Jerusalem
The new Bezalel campus is an educational and creative complex for the historic academy (established in 1906).
The campus is located in the center of Jerusalem, next to the Russian Compound, overlooking the Old City. In the hope of inspiring students to interact, create together and share ideas, the different departments are stacked on horizontal slabs connected by ramps and staircases. The building was made with a special concrete that combines cement with Jerusalem stone aggregates, and is surrounded by glass windows that bathe the interiors in natural light while showcasing the students' activities.
